Evonik’s DYNAVIS® Technology increases the power of hydraulic equipment and allows for significant fuel savings. Typical improvements of productivity and efficiency range from 5 percent to 15 percent. The use of DYNAVIS® hydraulic fluids pays back in just a few weeks of operation, is good for the environment with low emissions and ensures outstanding operability. Don’t waste the waste

Evonik makes it possible to turn organic waste into green energy. Using the innovative SEPURAN® Green membrane technology from Evonik, biogas which, for example, is released during the wastewater treatment process or the anaerobic digestion process of household waste, can be upgraded simply and efficiently to pure biomethane and fed directly into the natural gas grid or used as biofuel.

Good for people, animals and the environment

Meat, milk, and eggs are valuable components of human nutrition. However, animal husbandry and animal feed use up land and water, and cause climate-damaging emissions. Feed amino acids such as MetAMINO® from Evonik make it possible to produce animal protein in a way that conserves resources: Animals get what they need, but with less crude protein. At the very least, this reduces the need for soy from tropical regions.

To ease the burden on patients

Patients suffering from a chronic disease and who need long-term treatments will appreciate depot formulations that release the drug in the body at a constant rate over a given time period of weeks to several months. The need to remember to take daily medication is eliminated, as is the possibility of over-dosing and risk of toxicity. Better patient compliance enables faster recovery by using biodegradable excipients such as Evonik’s RESOMER®. These gradually release the active pharmaceutical ingredient, ensuring a consistent level of drug delivery and are naturally resorbed by the body.

Fall BBQ party

Even if the days get cooler, the barbecue season doesn’t have to end. With the right equipment, grilling is also possible in fall. Evonik’s food safety products reduce food-borne bacteria naturally found in meat and poultry. SPECTRUM, a peracetic acid product used in poultry processing, improves food safety by reducing patho­genic bacteria such as salmonella, campylobacter, and coliforms. It contains no chlorine and decomposes rapidly after application into vinegar, water, and oxygen. With the SPECTRUM program, Evonik provides a consultative approach including the knowledge, equipment, and technical service required for the application.
